17 rounds 2x2 rib in CC1
begin self-striping yarn

Two repeats of color sequence for leg
Heel flap over 30 sts
Knit until 16 sts in each slipped st column
Heel turn per this heel calculator for a French heel over 30 sts

48 rounds for foot (we will see how this wears, but 44-46 might be better)

Toe decreases for 60 stitch sock (rounded barn toe) :
Round 1

Needle 1: k1, ssk, k to 3 sts from end, k2tog, k1
Needle 2: Work the same way as Needle 1.
Round 2

Needle 1: k all
Needle 2: Work the same way as Needle 1.
Repeat rounds 1 & 2 a total of 6 times

Then dec every round for 4 rounds. End with 20 stitches total, then kitchener

I used

• 8g yarn for contrast cuffs
• 6g of yarn for contrast heel flaps
• 6g yarn used for toes (including both), and extra 4ish plain rounds of knitting before decreases started
• 42g of self-striping. Could have knit the leg five stripes longer and played yarn chicken
