This shawl’s design is all about the lines: horizontal and vertical lines alternate until you reach the border, where a natural motif takes over to create a beautifully ornamented edge. It is worked in one piece from the top down.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
80 inches (200 cm) long and 26 inches (66 cm) wide (after blocking).

MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 skeins of Sweet Merino Lite by Sweet Fiber (100% Merino; 475 yards 434m/100g) or approx. 880 yards (800m) of fingering weight yarn. The sample was made using colorway Bruin.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) needles.
Other notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

GAUGE
16 st and 32 rows to 4” (10cm) in stockinette st on US 6 (4 mm) needles after blocking.
