Extra warm if you line it with fleece. The second time I made this, I lined it with black fleece sewn in using the red yarn- I separated it and used two on the three strands it was made of.

As many of you mentioned, this pattern is pretty wide. If you want a thinner version, skip rows 3 and 4 and 22 and 23. I have a lot of hair, and this pattern fit me when lined with fleece, so if you don’t mind an incomplete pattern, you could cast on fewer stitches. Also, the edges do curl, let me know if you have any suggestions for that, this was my first or second pattern!
