Construction Notes
The sweater is worked in parts. You begin by knitting the front and back. The front features the unicorn head worked in intarsia (see the chart). The front and back is sewn together at the shoulders and side seams; this leaves a hole for the armhole. You knit up stitches along the armhole and work the sleeve flat from these stitches. The left sleeve also features intarsia. After sewing the seam under the sleeves, you finish the sweater by picking up stitches and knitting the neckband in rib, folding it down and sewing it to the wrong side. Then all you have to do is to “pimp” your unicorn. NOTE: the pattern is written for sleeves like the ones on the pink sweater.
