Crochet yourself a new pet with this pattern for a fantail goldfish! The fish’s head and body are worked continuously in the round, and the fins are worked back and forth in rows of blo sc. I have provided written instructions and charts for the fins.

Gauge is unimportant -- use any heavy worsted weight yarn to get a fish that’s approximately 9” nose to tail. A few yarn ideas: Stitch Nation Full ‘O Sheep in Clementine (this is the color of the deeper orange fish), Lion Brand Vanna’s Baby in Goldfish, and Red Heart Super Saver Multis in Zebra. It’s perfect for speckled fins!

NOTE: My numbering is off in the “Body” section of the pattern. I accidentally named two rows Row 12; the second Row 12 should actually be Row 13. Here I thought I was so clever having nice, round numbers, but no -- Round 30 (the last body Row) is really Round 31. Just my numbering is off, if you ignore the Row numbers you’ll do just fine!
