PLAN:
72 cylinder setup with 11 cylinder needles one empty slot. 70 project rows.

54 cylinder setup with 8 cylinder needles one empty slot. 50 project rows.

Scrap before and after.

Using a 72 slot cylinder on the CSM, setup one empty slot then 11 cylinder needles - repeat all the way around. Tension 3 dial turns.

On a 54 slot cylinder its 8 cylinder needles and one empty slot repeated all the way around.

Cast on with scrap yarn.

Measure the project yarn tail so that its at least 1.5 wraps around the cylinder - this yarn tail is important as its used later to finish the project end.

We begin each row at the 3 o’clock position.
70 rows.

Fiber is considered superfine from the label

How I got to this plan. I setup one empty slot then five cylinder needles but found the pumpkin segments were too narrow.
