Pattern Details & Construction
Long Winter Song is a DK weight, top-down circular yoke stranded-colorwork pullover. This sweater is adorned with a colorwork design throughout the yoke, along the bottom hem and at the bottom of the sleeve just before the contrast cuff. While five total colors are used for this design, only two colors are ever worked at one time.

German short rows are worked flat at the back of the neck, to raise the back of the sweater slightly, for a comfortable fit. The rest of the sweater is worked in the round.

This is an advanced-beginner / intermediate level pattern

Suggested Needles
• Needle A - US 6 / 4 mm or two sizes small than main needle, 16 / 41 cm circular (for collar) plus 32” / 81 cm (or longer) circulars
• Needle B - US 8 / 5 mm, 24” & 32” / 61 & 81 cm (or longer) circulars or size needed for Stockinette Stitch gauge (main needles)
• Needle C - US 10 / 6 mm, 24” & 32” / 61 & 81 cm (or longer) circulars or size needed for Stranded Colorwork gauge
• DPNs or circulars in all sizes for working small circumferences (sleeves)

Note! If your gauge tends to tighten when knitting a small circumference (the sleeves) you may want to go up one needle size for working the sleeves. I recommend having two sizes available to adjust as / if needed.

Notions
• Distinct BOR marker + 4 additional markers
• Waste yarn or stitch holders to hold sleeve stitches
• Darning needle and scissors
• Blocking mat and pins
