Looking Up
We spend a lot of time looking down at our phones and laptops, don’t we? I find that I need to remind myself to occasionally change that direction. We’re also very busy and forget to take time to recharge. Short of having a masseuse on call, we need to remember to self-care. When I find myself caught up in the never-ending stream of life’s demands, I try to remember to take a moment and LOOK UP. The simple act of stepping outside, taking a few deep breaths, stretching and looking up changes my perspective and recharges me every single time.
It’s just like powering down the electronics and restarting them. It gives me renewed energy for the next task.
Remember to take time to LOOK UP and things will always be looking up.
It’s always nice to have a new project on the needles and I hope you enjoy this one. It’s lofty and has a soft halo from the mohair strand. It drapes easily over the shoulders and is light enough to scrunch up to wear under a jacket. Have fun!
A big thank you to Andrea, for modeling.

Pattern Notes
This project is knit double stranded. One strand of worsted and one strand of lace weight mohair are held together throughout the entire project.
The poncho is approximately a 24” circumference at the neck, 17” deep from the neck edge to the bottom edge and
a 68” circumference at the widest part of the bottom. One size fits most. It is knit in the round, from the top down.
Gauge is 2.5 sts./in., garter stitch.
To make your knitting more comfortable, switch to 32” length circular needles when stitches become too bunched together.
I am a loose knitter, so my work is normally larger than most of the knitters I’ve had the good fortune to know.

As much as I love this yarn combo, feel free to use any worsted weight and lace weight mohair combination for this project. Have fun!
