Rauha is the Finnish word peace, calmness, harmony and tranquility. It is also an old Finnish girls’ name.

The Rauha pullover has a boxy fit with a lot of positive ease. The relaxed look is accentuated with dropped shoulders and cowl-like loose turtleneck collar. The pullover is knitted holding one strand of sport weight yarn held together with a strand of lace weight silk mohair.

The body of the Rauha pullover is knitted in the round starting at the hem. The front and back are separated at the underarm and worked flat until the shoulders. After seaming the shoulder seams, the stitches for the collar and the sleeves are picked up from the body and knitted seamlessly in the round. The cables on the front panel are a bit tricky, but the cable pattern is easy to memorize.
