Test knit for Andrea Gaughan. My first ever time as a test knitter!

I made my first draft of the hat using a heavy sport weight yarn in a lovely purple. The pattern suggests a German Twisted Cast-on. I followed the tutorial from Andrea Mowry on YouTube. Initially I worried the cast on edge looked a little sloppy since GTC is a new cast-on method for me. Since the CO edge is the top of the folded brim, however, I think the added stretch of those CO stitches evened out once folded up and stretch around the head.
