Shoreham Beach is a modular knitted shawl. Each segment is joined by picking up the stitches of the segments below, and each segment row is one segment longer than the previous segment row. It is finished off with a row of garter stitch across the top of the last segment row. This not only neatens the edge, but also keeps the undulating shape of the segments running along the top. This shawl is reminiscent of the waves crashing onto the beach, and the yarn, which transitions from cream to darkest blue, represents the waves and sea foam.

The stitch pattern is charted and has written instructions.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
