Notes

This is my go-to pattern when I want a quick, attractive and comfortable wrist warmer. It works up really quickly and looks great with all types of worsted yarn. It’s also a great stash-buster. You can use up little bits of leftover yarns and work the pattern in stripes.

When I make this pattern I make a few changes. First, I bind off 6 stitches instead of just 4 for the thumb hole (remembering to also cast on 6 in the subsequent round to compensate). I just find it is more comfortable with the larger thumb opening. Second, I add a few rounds of 1x1 ribbing at the fingers.

This particular pair is a little shorter in the fingers than I usually make them because I knew I might run short on yarn. I cut it very close. The third picture is all of the yarn that I had left over when I was finished. Whew!
