Notes

I finished these on the drive up to Michigan for my Dad’s 80th. It was a challenge to work with the beads in the car, especially because the bead holes were all irregular, ugh. What else is there to do on a long road trip but fuss with random craft store beads?

My stepmom Betty saw them and there was lust in her eyes so it turns out I made them for her! She spends more time at the beach than I do so they’ll be well loved.

These are “barefoot chains” so that means middle toe goes through the chain loop. The long fancy ties cross over the foot and are long enough to wrap around the ankle and tie in front or back of it.

Regular crochet chains are very comfortable between the toes, and the herringbone chains have extra oomph for a polished look.
